This is an extremely well known and with fully documented competition history . This Gt was originally rallied in the 1960s by Ron channon who went on to become a ford works driver . Also competed in the players autocross championship in the same period . The car was stored away since the 1970s until 2008 when it was unearthed as a time warp barn find with all original equipment still in the car . I bought it as this and the current owner bought it from me to compete in the BHRC rally championship . He kept the patina as it was but fitted new safety devices cage and uprated suspension and many new parts etc where he competed with great success. After a few seasons of doing this he decided to hill climb the car where he fitted single leaf spring new front adjustables Struts and lightened throughout and tidied car up to compete in many of the well known championships MAC Bugatti owners club Sunrise etc where he competed with great success and again many class wins. After doing this for a year he decided wanted more power so had a 1700 pre x flow built by Sam Wilson. 1700 crank was used, With steel con rods, Full pre X flow race head, Roller rockers, Lightened balanced . Fully rebuilt to a very high spec with no expense spared which went on to beat many lotus cortina and more powerfull machines in its class . Gearbox is a 2000E which was fully rebuilt .
