The original RS shell had a bare metal respray in 2010 and is now finished in Signal Yellow. With the engine/gearbox removed, the engine bay and underside of the bonnet had a bare metal respray in 2022. Powered by a 2.1-litre Ford Pinto offering 160bhp, with twin 40mm side-draught carbs, big valve head, Kent high-lift cams, revised throttle linkage and cables, new engine mounts, Vernier pulley, big wing sump, large capacity radiator, and a Tony Law manifold and exhaust system, Type 9, 5-speed gearbox, overhauled 2022. Hydraulic Helix 4-paddle clutch, inspected 2022, Bailey 1-piece propshaft Gaz Gold coil-over ride height adjustable, castor and camber adjustment with damper adjustment, new rubber mounts fitted 2022.
