1972 Ford Escort 1300L with just three former keepers and original bill of sale!

KAC 508L was first registered on the 10th of November 1972. Fitted with the 1300cc engine and four-speed manual gearbox, this is how the British middle-class families got around the place back in the 1970s.Incredibly, it still has the original bill of sale from J. T. Thorpe Limited of Wellesbourne in Warwickshire showing the purchase price of £854.91, a sum that included radial tyres, underbody protection, and front seat belts. (For those of you too young to remember, we were left to fend for ourselves back then, half a dozen of us rolling unrestrained on the back seat in a fug of cigarette smoke)With just three former keepers, it has been in the current care since 2019. It left Dagenham painted burgundy but the professional restoration that was carried out over 18 months from 2020 onwards saw a change of colour to white.
