Well, what a cracking day we had on Sunday taking the Mexico to the RS Owners Club National Day at Donington Park…
A 6.00am start saw us head over to Meir to meet up with members of the Oval Owners Club and the South Staffs RS Owners Club before heading off to Donington in convoy. Always fun with plenty of waves and thumbs up from passing cars… even at seven in the morning!
Shortly after our second meet point in Donington we were away to the circuit to set up on the South Staffs regional stand. Fantastic to be on the stand with so many amazing cars from MK1 & MK2 Escorts, RS Turbos, Sierra and Escort Cosworth’s and some quality MK1, 2 and 3 Focus RS’s. Congratulations to Gary Hollis winning best car on stand with his MK1 Ford Focus RS.
To top it off we won the trophy for best Regional Stand at the show, and the Oval Owners Club picked up the trophy for best visiting car club.
