The car has been raced this year, and every year since 2007. It has been highly reliable with many class wins and is maintained by a Ford specialist race preparer. It is powered by a Cameron Gilmour Engine Services 2.0 OHC Pinto with twin 48 SP Weber carburettors, connected to a 4 speed Quaife Pro CR/SC gearbox. The shell is a Type 49 which is strengthened, gusseted and part tubbed with a World Cup cross member and a bolted in roll cage. Suspension is AVO adjustable platform struts to the front and AVO double adjustable coil overs and single leaf slipper springs to the rear. Braking is provided by 4 pot Willwood calipers at the front and 9” drums, (Capri 3L MK2 shoes) at the rear. It has a bias pedal box and a quick rack.
