A freshly built big-wing MK1 Ford Escort fitted with a YB Cosworth engine… what’s not to like?
This 1972 MK1 Ford Escort started life as a 1300XL in yellow, but has recently undergone a full restoration in the last 12 months and has covered only around 700 miles since finished. The car had been in storage for the last 22 years before being brought out into the light and built.
The car has a Cosworth N/A YB engine running Dellorto carbs and is dynod at 190bhp. It has Spax rear adjustable shocks, 2” lift blocks, Semi straight cut type 9 gearbox, Polybushed anti roll bar, new bushes all through, single piece prop, Revolution Minilite style wheels 8jx13, plated lsd, 2.5 inch exhaust with Simpson manifold, Alloy rad, Braided brake lines, 2.8 Capri coilovers with 2.8 Capri calipers and RS2000 rear drums.
