Dave Hopwood & Paul Grattidge will be competing on this years Mull Rally in Dave’s ‘Classic Fords For Sale’ Backed MK2 Ford Escort YB Cosworth Rally Car…

After a relatively clean run on the 2022 event which saw the pair home in a fantastic 16th place overall – from over 150 starters – they are hoping for another great result on this years event which takes place on the Isle Of Mull (situated off the west coast of Scotland) on the 13-15 October 2023.

Dave said “Last year was a bit of a learning curve having upgraded to a Sadev gearbox shortly before the event which took a bit of getting used to and we had a couple of issues on the Saturday daytime stages with fuel-surging on Griburn and a bit of a scare with a prop centre bearing but everything held together for a great finish after the Saturday night stages.”

Having first competed on the island in back in 2001 the Escort has had many evolutions to date – not too mention a few scrapes here and there – but the pair can’t wait to get back up to the island for another full on attack on the single track tarmac roads in October!
