Blog – RSOC National Day prep begins… first job Manifold gaskets!

I need to crack on with the Mexico show prep tonight as I’ve got a couple of jobs to sort before the RS Owners Club National Day at Donnington on Sunday…

The first is to replace the manifold exhaust gasket after a small blow developed last week. I wasn’t really sure on the cause until on further investigation the allen key bolt on the middle section had worked itself very slightly loose. Guessing this was after the mammoth motorway round trip to croft last month but if that’s the only job after that journey I’ll be well happy… that said, I’ll see how easy it is to get the manifold off without loosing any skin off my knuckles as there’s virtually zero clearance on the lower section to the chassis rails…

Thanks to Burton for getting a large bore crossflow gasket set out in a timely fashion…
