Auction House – 2000 Ford Racing Puma 16v with project potential!

Fancy a bit of a project? How about this rather rare 2000 Ford Racing Puma 16v which is in need of some recommissioning and a little TLC!?

On offer here is #0321 which has covered 92,497 miles with five former registered keepers. It is running and driving but will need recommissioning. No current MOT. This is one Performance Ford that seems to have remained under the radar and, when returned to top form, #0321 will be a valuable motor car!

The strictly limited production run was initially pencilled at 1,000 units, with 500 destined for the German market, and 500 for the UK, but in the end, only the 500 destined for the UK-market were produced and sold. Very expensive at the time, all FRPs were finished in Ford Imperial Blue with an interior that featured bespoke Sparco seats in blue Alcantara The characteristic bodywork included wider aluminium front and rear wings, a deeper and wider front bumper and an aerodynamic front-splitter Fitted with 17″ Speedline alloy wheels to house the rather large Alcon brakes which could deliver more than 1.1g of braking in the dry and the late Richard Parry-Jones was responsible for the revised geometry FRPs were powered by a modified version of the 1.7 Zetec-SE engine pushing out 153bhp with high lift camshafts, revised inlet manifold, exhaust and ECU. Co-developed with Yamaha, each engine carries the limited-edition number on the inlet manifold
