1985 2.8 injection special capri. I purchased it locally to me in 2018 where it had sat for 26 years in the owner’s garage. I fitted a new fuel pump and put a new battery on and some fresh fuel and it started up. I then reluctantly sold the car to my best friend who got it roadworthy he fitted new front calipers and exhaust and then he regularly drove the car for 6 months. I then bought the car back off him and it has been standing ever since in storage but I have now lost my storage so must now sell car. The car has done a genuine 64000 miles from new with 3 previous owners it comes with its original service book. The car is very original unmolested car the only welding I can see that’s ever been done is a small patch on drivers side rear floor.
In my opinion to make the car mint it does need a light restoration as the rear corners need repairing see photos. And little bit on rear arch and rear end of outer sill and front edge of n/s wing edge and front valance has couple of dinks and a rust scab. And probably a few other small rust issues. All the floors,chassis’s, door posts look fine. The interior is in very good original condition head lining is perfect. Dash is not cracked the seat bolsters look a bit worn and the leather steering has lost its grey colour in places. The paint work on outside looks mostly original but is looking tired and does have quite a few small marks and scratches when it was in the previous owners garage for 26 years. The photos make the paint work look better than what it is. The engine runs lovely and is very quiet….
