With great regret, I am parting with my very beautiful Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport Replica. This car started life as a 1.3L in bronze, with roughly 37k miles from new and had been garaged. I purchased it from an ex-Ford dealership painter; whom restored it to an extremely high standard for his wife to sit along his vast Ford collection. The car comes with a complete portfolio of restoration progress from start to finish. Believe it or not, the car has only ever needed a rear panel and small minor repairs that are included in the portfolio, Please see photos for clarification. This was a no-expense-spared restoration. It was the cover car in Retro Ford magazine along with a few other magazine features, all featured magazines will be included with the car. Engine- 1600cc Crossflow, bored +90 1740cc. Stage 2 head, fully ported. Big valves. Burton fast road cam. Webber twin 40 carburettors with trumpets. Sierra 5 speed gearbox and clutch mated to a two piece RS propshaft. Suspension – Front, Bilstein shock absorbers with gas inserts and roller mounts. Rear, Bilstein shock absorbers on 2” lowering blocks. Anti-tramp bars installed. Wheels – Minilites 7.5j fitted with 185/60/13.
