“‘Harriet’ as registered in 1978 at our local Ford dealer, Frank Dye of Watton. Just over 45 years later and it is 12 miles from where it started out! The car is lovely, and runs and drives fine. Harriet has had a recent minor service and brand new battery. Being the 1.3 Ghia, it was the top of the range until the Supersport was released in 1980, and both have the same 1300 crossflow engine. However, being completely unrestored, she is in now need of some TLC. I bought the car as a project in the summer, and it had been sat in a barn/out building for some time. it was not running when i bought it, but within 20 minutes of getting it home and off the trailer i got it running, and it is a very sweet engine indeed, it runs and drives, stops and starts, gearbox and clutch are fine, with no whines or juddering.”
