Mk1 Ford Escort Mexico finished in Stardust Silver and original custom pack black betacloth interior trim. Car was subject to full restoration completed in June 2011 and featured in Classic Ford magazine October 2011. Car has completed 4500 miles since restoration. Body – Type 49 shell, steel bubble arches, resprayed original factory Stardust Silver as per AVO plate with black mexico decals. Engine – 1700cc crossflow, all internals lightened and balanced, high compression 1700 pistons, big valve head, Piper cam, 32/36 DGV Weber twin choke carburettor, K&N air filter, vernier timing gear, lightened flywheel, Janspeed four branch exhaust manifold and twin silencer stainless steel exhaust system, multi core radiator.
