1971 MK1 Ford Escort 1600
“Originally a UK car that was exported to Malta and then brought back in 2011. Originally a 1300 , unclear as to if it was a 1300E or a 1300 GT as badged, does have the anti-tramp bars though. It’s running a 1600 Xflow with a 32/36 weber and tubular manifold, along with a type 9 ,5 speed gearbox. Single piece propshaft. Rs2000 front legs with drilled and grooved discs. I’ve recently ( month ago) put the works escort single leaf rear springs in and GAZ adjustable rear shocks. ( cost £700). Brand new battery. Runs well and is fairly quick considering. Steering is nice and tight. Non servo brakes but they work well and never had any issues.”
