1967 Lotus Cortina Restored in 1992 But Now Requiring Work…

“I have decided to sell my Lotus Cortina, I have owned this car for over 30 years and in this time its been used as a daily up until around 5 years ago when i decided to use it less and in this time it has been stood and gathered dust and unfortunately some corrasion, in the time I’ve owned the the car I have spent a small fortune on it below is a list of what I’ve had done whole car restored by RBS Motors in Rugby in 1992 stripped down to a bare shell and totally restored and re trimmed including a complete engine build. the car was then refreshed by Sherwood restorations in 2004 at a cost of over £12000 this included paint, suspension, engine and much more.

I had the engine rebuilt By Maynard engineering in 2007 at a cost of over £13000. Over the years i have also had many repairs and up grades carried out to maintain the car and keep it driving and looking as good as i could, when i stopped using the car is when the bodywork started to deteriorate and she could now really do with a body restoration to bring it back to life, the underside of the car is in nice condition and the floor pans are in great shape, the wings are showing signs or rust along with the rear near side wheel arch.”
